Contract description:

This contract was a follow on from the success of the main lorry park contract and the construction methods exactly the same.   An area just over 38,000m2 was created for the new cars to be stored and loaded onto transporters.

The works included the removal of the existing tarmac surface, dynamic compaction of area, recycled lean mix batched on site (over 16000m3) and laid for sub base, piled foundations for new lighting towers, complete drainage system with galvanised steel high volume linear system, security fencing and Armco barriers.
